Tell us what you are covering

Give us the story, the location and the time you need pictures or a finished piece. Mention your delivery format and the duty producer's name if you have it. The more we know, the more precise our first reply can be.

What helps us reply properly the first time

A short, clear enquiry is enough to start. We do not need a full brief on day one, only the facts that decide whether we can help and how. Most of what we need is what your duty producer already knows about the story and the slot it is meant for.

Tell us the location as precisely as you can, including a town or postcode, and the time you need footage or a finished edit. Rhys Pritchard plans crews and routes around these two details, so they shape the answer more than anything else you send.

If you want editing, say what the piece is for: a bulletin package, a short clip or a longer report. Send your house style notes, slot length and delivery format, so Daniel Okafor and the editing team can match them from the first cut.

For live links and remote feeds, tell us where the feed goes and who will receive it in your gallery. Megan Thomas will want to agree test times and a fallback plan with your engineers before the day, so a contact on your side is very useful.

You can also write to [email protected] or ring 01792 410286. Whichever you choose, we answer with a plain statement of what is possible, followed by a written quotation once the job is clear.

Include in your first message

  • Your name, newsroom and a number we can call back on
  • The story, location and when you need pictures
  • What you need: crew, edit, live link or interview
  • Delivery format and any house style notes
  • Whether access or permissions are already arranged
  • Your budget range, if you have one in mind
